This new program uses one of the best AI-powered tools on the market to make language learning even more engaging and effective.

With the AI Language Lab, you can:

  • Practice real conversations with human-like AI tutors
  • Enjoy personalized exercises that adapt to your level (from beginner up to B2!)
  • Improve your oral communication skills through interactive and immersive practice

Language skills are essential for anyone who wants to make the most of life in Luxembourg. Digital Inclusion offers motivated learners an immersive language learning software:

    • What: Learn a language at your own speed – with state-of-the-art computer/smartphone assisted learning software, which we provide free access to, you can learn English, French, or German up to B2 levels, for free!
        • Option 1: the original Language Lab
        • Option 2: the AI Language Lab
      •  We also provide you with information on how to find digital resources online to learn Luxembourgish!

    • Who: Whereas all our other classes are open for everyone, our Language Lab is aimed for people who would otherwise struggle to afford it. To be eligible, you must:
        • Be a resident who receives the cost-of-living allowance (allocation de vie chère) (including BPIs)

        • Be an adult (18+) (except for MNA’s-unaccompanied minor refugees)

        • Be an asylum seeker (DPI); OR beneficiary of temporary protection
        • If you are not eligible based on the previous point, you may still apply and participate if there are any remaining spots available

    • Where: The first session takes place on our premises, then you can continue learning from anywhere, using your computer, tablet, or smartphone.

    • Conditions: We ask that you use the software for at least 10 hours per month, for a maximum of 6 months.

How to apply

If you would like to register for the original Language Lab (option 1), please send an email to languagelab@digital-inclusion.lu
If you would like to register for the AI Language Lab (option 2), please send an email to ai_languagelab@digital-inclusion.lu.

If the AI Language Lab is fully booked when you register, we will add your name to the waiting list and contact you as soon as a spot becomes available.
In the meantime, you will receive access to the original Language Lab so you can begin practicing right away.

Please include the following information in your message:

    • First name

    • Last name (family name)

    • Social security number (matricule)

    • Which language you want to learn (French, English, or German)

    • Attach proof of eligibility:
        • For residents who receive the cost-of-living allowance, a copy of the certificate of cost-of-living allowance (‘allocation vie chère’, maximum 12 months old) or the related Decision Letter (maximum 12 months old)
        • If you are an asylum seeker (DPI), a copy of the non-expired ONA file (front and back sides)

        • If you are a beneficiary of temporary protection (as it’s the case for most people arriving from Ukraine), a picture of the “attestation de bénéficiaire d’une protection temporaire

If you are eligible, we will add you to the waiting list and, when your turn comes, we will invite you to come to our premises to create an account on our software. From that point on, you will be able to practice your language skills from anywhere, for free!

Once you’re registered

Once you’re registered, you can access the software from your computer or smartphone. You can also visit our Open Classroom for support or questions.

Regular learning for periods of 45 minutes – 1 hour is most effective.

The Digital Inclusion Language Lab is not meant to replace traditional language classes, but to work with them to strengthen your learning. We encourage you to take advantage of the many language classes provided in Luxembourg from certified providers. The software does not provide academically recognised certificates.
